The Idea

Like lunchables for kids, this would be a tortilla with a squeeze tube with refried beans & cheese in plastic squeezable tubes so the kids can make their own bean and cheese burrito.

Split the bean & cheese in a single tube as 2 stripes (like toothpaste) so they can create a design on the tortilla.

I thought of this idea when I was...

3 kids with picky tastes, they love bean and cheese burritos but won't take the time to create them from scratch.

DenverSteve, Hi I think that is a good idea it is not something that I would buy because I like to make things to eat myself but I do think if it was on the shelf it would sell good.

It's a pretty good idea but squeeze cheese always makes me wary. If there were a way to make it a relatively healthy option, I think it could work.

It would not be so much HEALTHY but I would rather my kids had this to eat then grabbing a pudding cup or pack of chips.

The beans are healthy and I think you would use more like a bean dip in a can, it would have to be smooth enought to squirt. The cheese is already about and the tortilla could be healthy if you leave out the lard as most stores already have.

Again this is like the snackables you see that you put in a kids lunch like the pizza etc, more for grade schoolers at school where they can't really make their lunch and for convienience.

make the tube out of tortilla and you would not need to squeeze anything - its a self contained meal - so really it's already a burrito.
