Streaming Radio Stations with just the tracks you like. An idea to sell to broadcasters wanting instant audience feedback. A browser plug in or downloaded app which detects if you are running a streaming audio player and which site you are connected to (it could even be a player itself). If you're listening to a radio station and like a track, you can vote it up, if you might buy it you can add it to a basket for later, but if you don't like it you can vote it down. The killer is that if you hate the track, you can turn the station off and play your favourite hard drive MP3 instead. The apps are P2P and when a new track starts playing the incoming votes from the other listeners signal back you your app the time in the feed that you need to sync with once your local track finishes in order to pick up the next track. Makes big $$$s by selling the audience feedback figures to the stations so they know exactly what people like/dislike and what they played instead of the track they hated.
Listening to the Radio in the car and wondering where Digital Radio will take us in the 21st century. Site could also make money by doing a look up on the track names you liked and taking a commission on any tracks you buy. Unlike Pandoro this is a minor edit to a *real radio station* with identity, community and so on as opposed to a list of music tracks with no interaction. This isn't just a service for consumers, it's a service for any real radio station out there looking for feedback on what they play on the air.
Except for the part about playing a MP3 from your own HD, this idea sounds very similar to http://www.pandora.com - which is an awesome website and it's FREE! What pandora does is that if you don't like a song it simply skips it and brings up the next selection. You can also purchase the tracks via pandora.
All this audience feedback data is available from http://last.fm for free so I don't really see this as a great revenue stream. As a way of allowing a radio station to assess the popularity of its listeners I suppose it is interesting though.

"Dear Pandora Visitor,
We are deeply, deeply sorry to say that due to licensing constraints, we can no longer allow access to Pandora for most listeners located outside of the U.S. We will continue to work diligently to realize the vision of a truly global Pandora, but for the time being we are required to restrict its use. We are very sad to have to do this, but there is no other alternative."
