The Idea
An online community where people can obtain insurance and also be the insurer. Finally a company that will actually pay out insurance claims when people need it the most!
People are always looking for the cheapest insurance rates. But the key question that doesn't get considered is will the insurance company pay you out when you actually need the money? There could be a network of trusted doctors and even some automatic procedures that kick in for the most common types of injuries (like soft tissue injuries from car accidents) like lump sum payments.
As an insurer, you can invest and get an ROI on your money which is used by claimants. The company would provide the analysis of the claims but it would be a much more transparent process.

Any kind of disruptor idea to the big corporations is why I get up in the morning. I see shows on insurance companies not paying claims, and I experienced it myself after years of paying on time every month. The idea is similar to some online loan companies where the traditional huge corporations are bypassed.
