Online toy designing factory. Model your toy in 3D on line, choosing either from pre-determined parts or creating your own parts. Add your own "features" such as moving eyes, sounds and other actions or characteristics. Then vote for your favourite toys, for which the winners get made into real toys and sold! You will also have the option to have your toy produced once and be able to buy it online. The site will have awards for "Best toy of the month", "most innovative idea", "best amatuer toy" etc, toy design tutorials, discussions etc.
Similar to "make your own teddy bear" and the like, with an expanded range.
I reckon you have a set toy that individuals can customize. They can then trade their customized versions. A lame example might be soft toy with knitted cover. People can knit their own covers. Lame but you get the idea.
nice one! :D
this would be a great site for kids too!, without making their parents worry..
nice
Maybe the effort of designing the toys could become a community effort. That way it also become open source toy design. I think it's a fun idea. And also might make money, because people would want to buy the toys.
