Hello!

You've landed in the archive of the Cambrian House community. We've kept some pages here for posterity but the community is no longer active. Now we market the technology that made our early crowdsourcing a success.

Can we help you get to Cambrian House the company? – Come on over.

Are you seeking crowdsourcing technology? – Check out Chaordix by Cambrian House.

Cambrian House

Crowdsourcing represents the act of a company or institution taking a function once performed by employees and outsourcing it to an undefined (and generally large) network of people in the form of an open call.
Jeff Howe, Jun 2006

Cambrian House began as a crowdsourcing community using a wisdom of crowds based approach to discover new business and technology ideas. These pages are being kept online as a technology demo to showcase Chaordix™.

Looking to harness the power of your crowd? Find out about Chaordix™ - technology that enables enterprises to get the most out of crowdsourcing.

The Idea

CourtLounge would be a social network but just for lawyers, yeah i hear you say not an other social network, but this one is really unique because it's targeted at a very specific audience, we all think lawyers are serious people who have no time for things like social networks, but being a law student myself and having contact with lawyers i noticed that they're under constant stress and pressure and they'd like to have an easy way to escape this, some of them go hunting or fishing, some play golf, but wouldn't it be great if they had a place where they could easily and casually meet other people with the same interest like them, who understand their problems, it would be great to have, besides the classic forums, chatrooms, private message boards, a twitter like function (if this is technically possible)

I thought of this idea when I was...

just imagine you're a lawyer in a stressful situation, you send a short message like "i'm freaking out" via blackberry or pc and you get a silly response from a colleague and it cheers you up
