For Everyone with a good heart who CARES for our Children with Special Needs/People with Handicap(CSN/PWD)and wanted a truly interactive helpful onestop information medium the Exceptional Universal Site Plus(EUS+) is a timely site as a Global Hub dedicated for the differently abled children and people around them that will help by informing, get materials, induced learning-strategy-methods- , get professional resources, employers-NPO-Govt-search site concernng their own parallel program, lastly a Jobs opportunities for PWH and Professional as well!. A special educational GLOBAL HUB or site for Children with special needs(CSN)for Equalization Opportunities. This site is educators haven for materials and info sharing; Parents Dream and a Universal Call as interactive dedicated site for special children and PWD that are capable to use the fitting online materials; a universal site for sharing experiences for parents (via chatroom/forum); coordinate Professional service and ultimately a JOB placement promote the welfare of PWD For them to be eventually in the mainstream or be productive member of the society.

Everyone are invited to join and give their own share expertise and sincere contributions for a better world after all, we are special children of God.
i was and still an aspiring Educator into special education (SPED)...in my country alone a good program is needed for the welfare of exceptional children (CSN: children with special needs)and PWD(People with Disability) as a whole. A dedicated site with right info and services cant be found to address the needs and plight of this children and millions of adult PWD comprehensively.
Surveys results throughout the world shows that PWD often find themselves in circumstances that are handicapping and that result in social disadvantage entailing low literacy level, fewer employment opportunities, social isolation and rejection. [/B]
Lately, my Graduate school studies and weekly entry experience gave me time to refined this and realized the vast potential and issues needed to be address. Thus its back here!
And you are going to take a cut of these grants, "pledges and other of worth" as profit. Not going to go down well, dude. I'm sure there are charities devoted tojust such endeavours.
The name does not match your purpose.
Saigon sounds like a great idea. There are alot of this kind of ideas that are needed for UN program etc. I have heard about this kind of programs. i actually worked with http://www.sunflowerchildren.org an organisation that hands out funds to children in need. You will have to come up with a special treatment and organising an non profit company and so on. There are alot of similar nopn profit organisations that are doing just like you are talking about.. try looking around and asking around for these organisation. you can start with sunflower children i worked with them on an charity event in new york city to raise money to an orphanage in india. and we raised about 40 k us dollars to build a school and so on...
a good start..
Sai,
Looks very noble but be careful on the money angle... i know how much you are passionate about this..since this is a site not a physical project and your doing it for the rest of the world nt for certain community or specific handicap. I guess you been fed up with the beareaucracy of some Govt program. I know its a ong way to go knowing its you lack some novelty.
Still, count me in. You touch something near my vena cava.
Sincerely,
FocusDriven
ANATHEMA: Noted your concern. Am thinking to drop it after careful evaluation (if i can convene a meeting with my partners the soonest)
Maureen/Rizal: Am working onmy MA studies major in Special Educ. for Exceptinal Children... Exceptional is also the same as "special"...universal because am trying to be of service to the world with CSN. The purpose will eventually shift to specific benificiary (another NGO, et al). Yes, i myself had been a volunteer and even in "pro bono" work in another start up institution. This site is simpy what we needed like ReliefWeb.org thing.
FocusDriven: Thanks...hope to work with you ASAP!
yeah like http://www.ReliefWeb.org...only that yours is a global hub for Special Education(?) or CNS?...
Hope you make it!
EZeitgiest:
exactly..except mine is Interactive too and more!
You really have a heart for children! huh! But I like your idea...very informative and makes life easier...
SIr, just a question...are intellectually gifted children also under exceptional category of Specail Education?
..as an educator myself...this is a good one!
try to ask all help you could possibly ask among your colleagues ok?
The children education is the major thing in this idea. Hopefully, it will help all the children in the world.
Sweet and non profit.
Isnt non profit supposed to earn too but goes back directly to the cause?
You have so many ideas that was selected in this week.
How come?
Goodluck anyway
Hi Ed, great going.
So this is the project you were brewing sometime last year huh?
I like it!
Keep us posted.
i would find most of the grant instituitions unwilling to give you a cut of their pie, as most compete for funding as it is. also, most of the very large providers have 'portal-like' links to similar ideas you are talking about on their existing sites.
thanks for all the comments guys....
Crazywisdom: I noted your very special comment =) but as per my research there is no info HUB to cater all of this concern am putting across... am not in a hurry about this. In due time this will take off most specially after my US Graduate school sojourn likely to happenin the next 2 years... i need to rub elbows with who's who in the industry and get their nod. It some sort of politicking specially for the Philantrophist circle.
How would it differ from this site, for example, Saigon?
Your sentiment is good, I am just trying to understand more about your idea.
ok sorry but how are you going to make money?
Clearly your heart is in the right place, and obviously you are not intending to get rich off of this idea. As someone suggested there are other similar sites out there. How are you going to differentiate yourself? Though money isn't your main motivation, maintaining a website costs money. How do you intend to pay for it?
Thanks Jill for the site (last time i saw that was 2 yrs ago)...
CEC services are:
-Professional development opportunities and resources
-17 divisions for specialized information
-Journals and newsletters with information on new research findings, classroom practices that work, federal legislation, and policies
-Conventions and conferences
-Special education publications
Still it lacks a serious help for the professional educators and parents to get an Intructional Material that is relatively free.
It does not have any online help and group support chatroom or Forum (only for teachers is present) to exchange experiences and possible solution from actual parents having the difficulty on rasing a CSN.
Nor does it have a global Picture as service information provider that will make it a good one stop "shop".
CEC is more of a portal for professional that lacks a wholistic approach to capitalized the PYRAMID triad of effective approach: the child, the family and the community!
This is where EUS intend to make a difference.
GL/stevesat:
Your question is what pester most Organization that deals humanitarian cause. I understand this Money angle.
We are working on job matching of sort that works like a recruitment thing and get a decent cut from every succesful deal. Also, am trying to tap some civic and religious organization to help this site afloat on its initial months. The long term thing is the training EUS can exlcusively offer and other services like CEC did.
Sounds like a dream pipe? No its not, my country alone produce thousand of teacher's alone with a good number specializing lately into special education. School and other agency mostly inthe first world country is havinghard time flling up the demand based on the supportive law that protects this children's education. Like the nursing wave inthe lst 30 years...SPED teachers is on the brink of that scenario. still the site EUS intend to be of service oriented than the projected business and professinal help it could provide. Thus, i have no doubt EUS have a legitimate niche to propel as a "Non-profit " Organization and with good fund to support its existence.
Well a problem might be the language. A lot of these children live in countries where people can't even read or write, let alone have the usage of internet. In a lot of african countries they speak all kind of (local) languages.
How are you going to tackle that?
Tommy
I think it sounds like an excellent idea. I saw you were going to include a chat room... How about also an online forum? That way people can connect and share ideas even if others aren't online.
I'm not too crazy about the logo though. I wouldn't use real pictures of people in your logo. And the text in it needs to be thought out a bit more and incorporated better into the logo.
Hi Saigon,
Your idea has merit, but to me it is still way to scattered in its field of endeavor to actually win some clear business points. My suggestion would be to focus as a startup on one clear direction with a clearly thought out funding mechanism and get an initial partnership running with interested global partners. I appreciate that you want to paint a picture of all this can be - but if you start with the big picture you are unlikely to get it off the ground.
What is the most burning issue?
How can you meet that need and pain?
Where is the revenue stream?
What resources do you need?
Do you have time to head this up?
Just a few of the key questions. Answer those and you will probably garner lots of support and assistance.
Hi Saigon,I like your idea, anything that can help a childs education is a good thing well done...
This site is very good. I think English language could be a start and from there an intl volunteer "team" possibly could help the other language barrier. Upon my return to China next month i could easily tap some collegeaus in the teaching circle and see how could we be of help to support such a noble cause.
Goodluck Saigon!
Ed aka Saigon,
You got something here. I believe you will reap more tap in your shoulder for the years to come. The cause is very good. Admit it or not there is money in the Education and employment service you will create. I got family members(by marriage) up in the US that gives hefty "finder's keeper" fee on their labor/skilled professional requirement for teachers specifically to handle handicapped children. From my simple computaton and Phil. peso conversion it equivalent to a single person yearly salary already here in our country ergo your long years of Business survival is achored in a good market. I dont see any reason why a website you got wont be around except if the competition kills you while you are sleeping in your post.
Seriously, you are touching directly to Parents concern, like me who have a daughter that have special condition, i have hard time relating to local parents i just rely on printed materials and yes the expensive professional advise.
I look forward in this project to realized.
Mabuhay ka!
whoa Thanks everyone!
I was caught flatfooted on the weekend comments suddenly came rushing...
Vahnees:
Nice comment on Language, though someone did mention a solution i believe we will come on to that intl volunteer later... being a special child needs special responsibilities and care. So far first world countries are of priority because they have laws that supports this children. But, am not saying African countries are not priorities but we have to start somewhere where the pudding is before we eventually have a good logistic to uphold their welfare. Just like in my country where regular education program is having a bureaucratic Mess for a measly budgeted program, this is where Non Profit Org comes in
Krissolei:
Noted on the LOGO...i will work on that =)

Oops i dunno what happen on this double post...am having hard time in this Vista OS in this Korean Notebook...
@Squint:
Very good questions..please give me few more breather in the days to come. On the other hand i can answer the few, Special Educaitns have a LOT of issues as in A LOT. For now we have to answer on, what and when education starts to assist and make this Special children adapt to the mainstream of Community living.
Contd on Squint:
On How can you meet that need and pain:
- Support group will be tap based on their Nationality or Location.
But an online available professionals and real parents will be available 24/7 courteasy of TIME ZONE.
-On Where is the revenue stream:
I asnwer some of this already but will provide more in the days to come
What resources do you need:
-MOA and commitments from exisitng groups and org.(we are a HUB remember?)
Do you have time to head this up:
Yes..this is where my career is heading into =)
PS i may not have answered today completely but please keep the quesitons and commnets coming as this is where the IDEA is honed right?
That's a good idea man, specially for children, after all they the future of this world..
How is this different from other "charity" sites that take part of your money?
Why would people go to this site instead of directly going to the organizations major site with a direct 100% non-profit donation.
I was once and many times volunteer during college... i guess you can tap the college students too as volunteers around the world in some aspect they can be of help like the language question. And yes they need the exposure too if handled or trained well they will eventually be part of your rosters when they graduated.
Goodluck!
CG_EOL: thanks for the suggestion
@true_daniel: i think it hold true on Nursing recruitment...thanks anyway for the very good path to proceed...
KEvin:
this is not CHARITY per se... i have a business MODEL...
To evryone: Hope you keep on commenting over the days since i received very good feedback and commentary to improve this... this will take off eventually. From the academic collegues and the whole comunity that believes on this cause for special children. FYI the children used in the LOGO are special children too with different handicapped you wouldnt notice at the first glance.
Saigon,
good to see this IDEA back!
I failed to browse this last time...i notice you improved this huh?
Now you got my 5 stars!
good to see the update.. the click through rate should be high for such a tight focus
Like the updated idea.
Tommy
Thanks TOmmy/PHaze and Weng:
Yes this is very well updated...special thanks to Squint for the burining question thrown last time.
of w/c The answers are:
- education
- employment
- funds
- awareness
In the following days i will give you the general picture to at least educate eveyone why this site is very much needed in our time.
saigon,
Glad to see you are still promoting this idea. It's clearly very important to you and directly relates to your chosen life's work.
You might find it interesting to see wiserearth.org, which is a big database of many different groups from all around the world, organized as a kind of directory. It has an environmental focus but the method of organizing might work for what you have in mind, or perhaps it will give you more ideas.
If there are shortcuts you can use, that might make the big job smaller.
ed,
I believe youre hitting the nail on the head, right this time!
Goodluck
-a.diosanta
Hope you can put a trial web site for this one to help the crowd appreciate whats in your mind, the way you did in your other idea.
Godspeed and may we benefitted soon!
-jg/a.d./r.v/SPED211
I think it is a wonderful idea. I've worked with adults in "community living". there aren't many jobs available to adults with special needs. the few that can handle a busy environment become dishwashers, or sweep floors. the rest have trouble filling their days and have to live on a small pension. I believe there is a place in Calgary, and Seattle where these special needs adults can earn a good living de-constructing computers and phones.
This one is better... employment for the Handicap people..i think this is the holy grail other site have forgotten. Though the Professional service/placement entice me too. I can see where are you heading with this two great opportunuties you are offering.
You deserve our votes!
Jill:
thanks for the tap...i will check that site...initially my mind was on thelayout reliefweb.org but based on your description, its has much focus.
jgarcia:
i'll try to layout this SAt a trial website for this, to rev up the final canto this week tourney.
literate_saint:
dude, youre right..this was the missing piece on the original idea.
