The Elevator Pitch

For Everyone who Doesnt want the hassel of putting on stengy surgical or other types of sanitary gloves the Universal Automatic Glove Machine is a Unit of choice that eveyone would have or want to have. Unlike doing it yourself our product Would be the next greatest invention since sliced bread!.

The Idea

The idea is a Universal Automatic Glove Machine. The machine allows the user regardless of job, handsize, or disabilitiy to place the hand into the machine and pull the hands out with fitted. sanitary comfortable gloves for there everday jobs.
"The gloves would also be alergen free for those who have the latex allergies"

Who would use this? EVERYONE
Doctors
Food Industry
Laboratory Engineers
Even good ole mom can have one in the home for when its time to deal with meats a pultry for that summer dinner!

I thought of this idea when I was...

When I worked in the food industry constantly changing gloves after touching each meal. It became very tedious not to mention they didn't always go on right especially if my hands were semi wet. I knew when I thought of the idea that it could benefit everyone. So all those combined inspired me to write this.

Need more details on how such a wonderful machine would work...

Cdg0322 Posted: August 23, 2007, 11:15 am

Because you may not understand it dont automatically give it a bad vote. Vote on the idea of placing your hand in a machine that is sanitary and with no effort at all you would have surgical type gloves on your hands. Thats the idea your voting on. Now how it would work would be a bit of engineering genius. I have thought of many ways for instance, one idea was a liqiud plastic that you place your hands in pull it out and walla air tight gloves, problem with that is your placing you hands in a liquid taking away the sterility. Thought of maybe a lamentation where you puts your hands in and from top and from the bottom your hands would be lamented the heat would form to your hand shape and you cut it off. Problem with that is how would that be safe? So like I said it is a engineering marvel, but we have put people in space and send picture over air waves so why not this machine. Someone commented who would buy this. If it was affordable I guarntee you everyone would buy it. In the long term goal it would be my personal effort to have the machine approved by the FDA and be madatory for every surgical or food serving establishments. So vote on the idea not the complexity cause the complexity is hard enough but the idea is simple and a good one that can benefit everyone if done correctly.

I am also here looking for engineers who would be willing to work on this project with me. I am also willing to share this idea with those who would work hard and make this a reality. Im sure that numbers dont matter because if this machine can become reality there would be plenty of wealth for everyone involved. Please feel free to contact me if you have anymore questions.

How about a machine that sprays the gloves on? You might first get a quick spay of a thermal protection then a quick spray of liquid glove.

something depresses me about a society which would engineer a machine to automatically put on gloves.

ccozad Posted: August 23, 2007, 4:21 pm

lol... maybe I don't put on gloves enough, but if you have the proper size glove (i.e. you are not squeezing into it or having it fit loosely)... well, it is pretty minimal work to put on a glove. Wouldn't sticking your hand in a machine be just as much work as sliding on a glove?

Some other comments....

"So vote on the idea not the complexity cause the complexity is hard enough but the idea is simple and a good one that can benefit everyone if done correctly."

What! Not evaluate the complexity... how can we not? By evaluating complexity we establish the probability of success and time to market. Complexity helps distinguish between something we are going to see as a special effect in a movie and a product we will see on the market in 12 months.

Liquid gloves are a great idea!

I found a very good presentation that might help everyone to understand the reasoning behind some people's comments. I'll probably post in the forums too, but I'll let this idea have it first. The link http://www.londonent...AGoodBizIdeaV3_1.ppt

The presentation points out that there are many types of ideas:

Ahead of their time â€" Da Vinci’s Helicopter
Simple â€" the wheel
Lucky - cat’s eyes
Solutions in search of a problem â€" non sticky glue
Bad â€" Curry.com
Formats â€" Survivor, X-Factor
Profitless â€" the Panic PIN
Stupid â€" Solid Gold Hat Shop
Theoretical â€" Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle
Discontinuous â€" The Internet

--------------------

The presentation also points out some criteria for judging ideas. You will see the "fire ants" (the CH mob) use all of these with certain members favoring different criteria:

1. Management
2. Market
3. Competition
4. Product/Technology
5. Financial Plan

As promised, here is a forum topic about the post above.

I like the idea, at least in so far as you reduced it in your reply above. Having had to use (and frequently change) disposable gloves in laboratories, I've seen many people put off good practice just because of the extra hassle.

HOWEVER as others have said, one sells products not concepts. Before this can become a fully-fledged business idea, we really do need to know how it's going to work. Personally, I can't imagine any way to use a machine to make application of traditional gloves easier. There are spray-on gloves on the market though - if you can work out how to apply those quickly and cheaply and ensure a good, chemical-resistant covering, you might be on to a winner. I'm imagining something like the new Dyson hand dryers...

It would take to long, would not be easy to make, and there are all ready existing solutions.
