The Idea

This is a combination of "101 Hollywood Moments" and "Youtube". With the co-operation of film companies, small excerpts from their films (approximately 5-10 minutes) are provided to internet users with a) a character removed from the scene (visual and audio) or b) full audio track removed. Budding young internet actors, using their webcams film themselves against a plain white background, and their footage is superimposed onto the scene. Or, if they choose, budding young radio personalities can create a whole new audio track for the scene (perhaps getting their friends involved).Goal is to create the funniest pisstake of the scene possible. Entries are automatically posted to the "and the Oscar goes to.." site but also straight to you-tube. Site could also provide some simple tools for creating funny webcam videos (e.g., blue screen effects). Revenue model for this idea a bit sketchy - happy to take suggestions

I thought of this idea when I was...

This might only apply to australian members. There was a show called Barge-arse done by the Late Show (formerly d=generation). They took a tv series from the 70's and replaced the voices with their own. It was a very funny and simple idea. Looking to create a similar concept. THe you-tube audience already exists, why not feed them!!!
