Sounds like fun, although you are opening yourself to some serious lawsuits. There would need to be a way to address the liability factor - anonymous brings out some major creepy people.

I think it is an OK idea. But, maybe you are all to young to know that the internet can all ready be anonymous. Many sites online do not require all or any of your private information posted at all.

This might actually work better as a Non-Profit effort, kind of like Make A Wish foundation.
You should target a specific group to 'help'. Otherwise, why the hell am I going to make your wish of getting a PS3 come true?
On a second thought...
You can setup the site to help a specific group ( kids with cancer, orphans, etc. ). Then try to generate Ad revenue as income.
If you're anonymous, how do we find and help you?
