The Idea

Ok, the idea is, you're death. You reap the souls of the dearly departed. You like your job, it's fun, it's simple, and people fear you. However, there's now a man who found a forbidden stone and formed a group of immortals who derive their power from the stone. One day, they decide to use the stone to affect the souls of humans everywhere, but the results weren't as expected. Instead of becoming immortal like they planned, now the human souls have transmutated and now when reaped, they assume an assended form and fight back. To make matters worse, now the group of life-loving fanatics are trying to take you out. So on top of a now somewhat unenjoyable job, your trying to also trying to keep an eye out for these wack jobs. However, all is not lost. these enhanced souls yeild etheral fragments you could describe as Soul Gems that can be absorbed to increase your abilities. I plan for slick gameplay and custimization on appearences. Hopefully this idea become a great game

I thought of this idea when I was...

Well, I honestly don't know. It just came to me one day while I was t hinking, I just suddenly thought of a game where you play as death. Has it been done before? Maybe, but I think this idea is original and could be pulled off with minimal effort. Thank you all for your time. -Allawen

It really wouldn't hurt to add comments with your votes people >.> If I don't get feedback then I can't improve. I don't really care what you say or how m uch of it you say just give me something to work with here. Cause right now it feel like I'm in a dark room with people jabbing randomly at me and I've no idea of their intentions. That sounds alittle over the top but down play it alitte and that's what you've got. Now please add some feedback with your votes. Thank you.

I have to agree with Patmania on this one. The moment I read your title, I thought "Grim Fandango". Look up the game and then try to make your idea different and better. I'll come back and visit ya! =]

Interesting... at least the protagonist is acting on its CHARACTER unlike othe RPG(?)..where you keep on killing and do nasty things without rational explanaton why its had to (i.e. GrandTheft).

Be sure this is not "in " you . ;-/

You do have an idea for a game. I would loose the gem thing... it's been over done and kind of tacky.

You have writing a long pitch. Now you would need to write a game document to better understand the game.

I think Moogy is in the game dev biz? If that's so, I would put a lot of weight on those sensible comments.

I am not a gamer. They all look the same to me. Sorry!

I disagree with Moogy on one point... You don't need to create a full design document in order to propose your idea. What you do need is some proof of concept, be it a demo or mock-up of what your game will look/play like. Again, you can get by without this, but your odds are better with it.
