The Elevator Pitch

For individuals and corporations who want to make a difference in the world which is a continually turbulent place that needs people like you. Unlike many organizations our product we hope will prove to make a very large difference because education is the most valuable resource we have.

The Idea

We are a lucky people. And to me, it is our responsibility as more fortunate individuals to give to others that are not as privileged. Me and my good friend Moses Bomett of Kenya have decided to give back. We are currently starting an organization called H.O.P.E. for Africa [Health and Organized Peace through Education] where we are going to have a partner school to give to, so that they may have more opportunity in their communities to be leaders and lead their communities out of whatever muck they are in. Right now we are micro and focusing only on one school in only one community in only one country, but we would love to grow.

What we need:
Corporate Sponsors.
Volunteers.
Networks for communication, growth, and links to "higher up people".

I thought of this idea when I was...

We want to start a connection between schools to not only give and share money, but another large portion would be a sharing of information and knowledge. What we would need help with is getting connections to schools and universities to get the word out. I just think a lot of people are ignorant to problems other than their own only due to lack of knowledge. If we promote knowledge, then we can push other resources and services along easier.

Sounds like a good cause. Do you have a website or similar that gives a better idea of what you're doing yet? Perhaps if you can tell us what plans you have already, how things are progressing and what problems you're encountering we can put our collective minds to works!

So, the idea is to what? Just donate money to schools? What would we be making? Because there are all ready organizations that work with/build schools in 3rd world country's.

OK, but there are some established organizations trying to build schools and fund education 3rd world country's all ready. It seems like a waste of resources to make a new one instead of helping the existing organizations. Unless there is something vastly different and new needed.

Schooling for students in 1st world country's about 3rd world country's? Is That what you are talking about? or Were you trying to convey a different point.

jacobhardigree, I assume this is a project which is already underway outside of CH? Could you provide a link to your website? If you don't have a website, I'd recommend creating one so you can properly document your plans and goals (CH idea submissions are too small a venue for that).

Also, maybe you could position your organization relative to existing African non-profits? Your goals seem like they would already be represented by existing charities. Why would supporting your emerging one be a better use of charitable dollars, time or contacts?
