A prince who is not himself wise cannot be wisely advised: good advice depends on the shrewdness of the prince who seeks it.Niccolo Machiavelli

Polish your idea
You may have few pages idea/story for a book, novel, movie, reality show etc. But it is not possible for everyone to become a good writer even when you have a good idea.
This web site if for those armature writers who have good idea and they can search or make partnership with good writers, student of literature, professional writers -or other way round- through this web site.
And publication house, producers can also become member of this site.
The author of the idea, and the writer can work together as a partner, or for percentage.
Crowdwriting?
In this Web site "Polish your idea" author of the idea will be looking for good writers who will be willing to work as a partner of the creation or work for a percentage.
If there is any similar site, please let me know. I found only those freelance writers who will work only for a fee.
Is this a ghostwriting service?
Books do not pay a lot of money unless you are hugely successful. I don't see why an author would work for free on a chance of a profit under someone else's direction when they could work for free on their own idea, and not have to split the profit if they do sell it.
I don't think 'good ideas' are that hard to come by. The real work is in producing the book. I wouldn't want to do 99.9% of the work on something, and then have to share the profits with the guy who 'thought of it'.
http://www.write101.com/paid.htm - a little info on how authors get paid.
The way I have been seeing is : there are many creators/artists who come up with a great idea, art and become very popular but their other creations are not that great.
Probably not going to fly as a concept. Though I do know someone guiding a wiki romance novel that is being crowdwritten... which is kinda cool.
Certainly could be a pretty successful website if done right. There are a lot of people interested in writing and giving feedback. I just don't see a good business model for it.
For revenue, we can take some percentage, place ads, sell books etc.
Have been publishing/e-publishing since 1999:
Unless you have a blockbuster you're willing to spend your time and fortune to promote, there is no REAL money in being an author.
I like it. If intellectual property protected (actually, the date of posting would be good evidence) but you have to protect from the unscrupulous. Oh sh..uger, crowdsourcing for writers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. YES!
Sorry, too much coffee and hope.
I like it too.
I like the idea, but I don't think good writers will work for free (and bad ones will not do any good to the site). I hope I am wrong, cuz I would really like to see a service like this working.
I think even good writeres need good story, idea. so there is one in this site, they will try to negotiate.
there could be amature writers who are good, there could be students, and individuals can make a group and work on that idea.
I'm sorry but this is exactly the same as filmnotion/filmwrite
I have a question. Would it not be easier to just have a place that is like writersideas.com(or similar website name) where people go submit the idea for whatever. Then someone (author to be) comes in buys it for a negotiated price. You then have x amount more money and a "poor man's copy write". I don't know if you are already saying to do this but seems that everyone has a problem with ownership and it's the same here and there and everyone has ideas, but this puts that all into one spot. I think
Perhaps you could develop an online contract in which the person with the idea puts up some capita to get the writer through the writing process. If the person with the idea gets themselves involved in the risk aspect of the writing process, they'll be more entitled to a share of any potential profits...then the writer isn't left writing for free, and there is an incentive to share the money as it comes in. Perhaps a royalty kind of set up like here on CH? Perhaps have a number of people come in and add a few dollars for a percentage of the royalties if they happen? It's like venture capitalism and corporatism for writers. I think it could work. You just have to take care of the problem that could come from idea-stealing, and I think contracts and an iron-clad user agreement might be the ticket. Hire a good lawyer for that!

I still don't know about this. Crowdsourcing for a literary work? I've done this when I was a kid, write one sentence, pass it along... Sounds like a bad way to do a business.
I have seen fun things like wiki/group based romance stories, collaborative blog alternate reality stories, etc.
I dunno.
Author can sell his idea, and can sell through this site.
But if he/she sells then he/s would not be able to add other visions to the creation.
And all ideas or projects are not going to be successful, but succession of a few would be a great achievement............. writersideas.com has not started its work so do not know about that
cambrian house?
How can you differentiate your self from your competition.
actually i still have not found the competition, if there is anyone you know please provide me with their information
