For hungry people who are in a hurry the food-to-go network is a online ordering tool that reveals in one shot the local food options available to you and makes ordering and purchase available in one click. Unlike sites like takeout-taxi.com that do not help you make-up your mind on what you wanna eat our product employs user rating feedback to guide you efficiently in your choice.
The idea is to create an online tool to facilitate the ordering of take away food in your area. As a restaurant or fast-food chain, you would subscribe to the food network and advertise your take-out menu. Customers could log in and browse through the take-out food places in their local area, and PAY ONLINE. As a customer, I would specify the desired time of pick-up, or if available, could choose a delivery option. The restaurant receiving the request would return a confirmation of the pick-up time and would be bound to it. One way to monetize the service is to charge the restaurant for a small percentage of each order. Note that the service would save valuable time to both customers and caterers, and would possibly alleviate the need to pay credit card charges. The site itself would allow customers to share reviews, and give feedback or place requests to their local food places. Alternatively, restaurants could post surveys to help them match their customers needs.
I have found myself many times in a situation where I need to order food quick but I don't know what to order. I usually end up calling baja fresh and go pick up the food there. In these moments I wish I could go to a website that offers me a range of options with possible pick up or delivery times, so I can make a quick decision, pay, and get my food, fast !
If you combine the "user review" thingie with your idea then it has potential.
then you can use a www.digg.com like interface and place it on your website. So people can tell which eatery has the best votes:
- in a pertinent locale
- particular food type
