This game will allow players to compete in a brutal arena with one or more opponents, and be able to customize their character so much that every fight with every different player will be unique and different. It would be in 3rd person view, would take place in different types of arenas (each with unique environments), and can be played 1v1 or deathmatch style. Procedural customization/battle/physics would allow players to create any type of life-form their imagination can conjure. Imagine being a gargantuan beast, a soaring angel, a psychic, or just a clever assassin. The game would sport a limitless amount of unique weapons, from swords and guns, to anything destructive. It would have all sorts of dynamic environments to choose from, where they can use the environment against others. I believe this game would do great because it would be fun and it would rank players. The better they customized and the better they play, the higher and more renown they can become.
I thought of this cool idea when I was thinking about one of my future practice projects in Blender 3D. I was thinking about making a short movie about stylized combat in an arena. I was thinking how cool it would be to play such a game with other players online, and be able to make any sort of character you wanted using procedural techniques.
There are already a lot of fight games around. My son used to play Streetfighter where there are a lot of customisable characters, and you can either play against the computer or another player. I'm sure there are plenty of similar games around.
Wonderful idea, seems like it would be engaging due to the fact that you use your own desktop as your arsenal.
Good Luck
