How it Works

How it Works

Attract brains and brawn

Cambrian House - We build it

Good ideas inspire community members to participate. Find people with the passion and skills to construct the first commercial version of your idea.

Attract members to work on your business and compensate them with either Royalty Points or Cambros.

Pad your own account by collaborating on other members' businesses too. Once the product starts making money, so do contributors. See how much you could earn.

Proof in the pudding

Crowdsourcing works. Just ask iStockPhoto, Threadless, Innocentive, Wikipedia, etc.

iStockPhoto began in 2000 as a place for designers to swap images for free, then later moved to a credit system through which users could pay $1 for the use of an image. The site spread through word-of-mouth and has developed a loyal cadre of contributors who frequent the site's message boards and give each other advice and feedback on their photography.

iStockPhoto is recognized as one of the first companies to embrace “participation” and has recently been acquired by Getty Images for US$50 million.
