Summary
when users on net need certain data, they go for searching . at the same time another web client might be having that data and could be ready to share it, but both are unknown to each other and their resources. hence there arises a need for an agent who would have all the information about all the web clients regarding their requirements and resources. thus YFS acts as a portal in redirecting the data from one web client to another based on their requirements. thus YFS acts as a virtual server which pretends to have all information, but in real it just redirects the information from from one to another..... the advantage is the user does not have to search the data but just tell about his needs to YFS and it inturn searches the data for the user from another user
