Here's a cool photo contest idea that happens fast and pays out cash and prizes. Photographers submit their favourite photo to a competition in one of 3 or 4 categories for $5 each submission. As soon as the pot reaches $1000 that contest is capped and voting begins. You could have it that voting goes until the pot reaches $1000 for the next contest so there is no lag. The top of each category splits the pot. I think the split should be 25% for the house the rest in the pot.

This would be easy to operate and could be very addictive for photographers and viewers.

Very important now is the idea of selling prints of the images. We'll keep the prices very low (roughly 20-25 for 8x10) and also offer enlargements and prints on stretched canvas. The photographers share in print revenue. Think Threadless but for prints.
