I've built an online desktop application at idesktop.eu. It's run using AJAX and DHTML in the front and PHP and MySQL in the back end. Ok, enough technical talk: I've spent hours and hours developing this tool and now would like to take it one step further. I would like to try a new business approach: I'll opensource the whole desktop, sell it as a service (SaaS anyone?) and share my revenue with other contributors. What I need: 1) a business model for selling the service 2) developers willing to work on idesktop.eu and share in the profits 3) proper legal paperwork.
