Summary
Design a web site to be like a network TV station.
This web site would buy TV shows that already exist or produce original content like the networks do. Then people would download shows like they would on Youtube. The video files would have one or more adds generated in the clip for each download linked to your region like googles adsense. This would give the advertiser the power to pine point the adds and for people around the world to download the shows they want to see for free. This can also be applied to movies. You could also include streaming of live sporting events.
This would avoid many good shows from being pulled off the air just because of the time spot or just unavailable because your cable company doesn't support a channel. This would create REAL ratings for shows.
This concept also make it possible to see old shows and make revenue because of up to date add content, maybe even revive an old show because demand.
