Ethical Consumer (EC) is an online directory for socially responsible business. Directory listings and banner ads will be the main revenue for the business.

However, there is still a gap in knowledge for consumers looking to make better choices. Coupled with this, is the difficulty consumers have in tracking down socially responsible business and deciding which products are the best.
Directory advertising is set to grow by over $8 billion by 2010 with online growth leading the way. Further to this small to medium business will lead this rapid growth as they continue to use the Internet to connect with their clients.
Consumers will be able to post reviews of businesses, which will in turn allow other consumers to make better choices when choosing where to shop.
