One of the biggest problems in big cities is traffic. There are many solutions, but most are either expensive, long-termed or complicated. But carpooling is a simple, cheap and fast solution. Why don't people carpool more? Because there is a lack of information and flexibility! "El Caronero" is a social network centered around transport. There you can:
* Easily, in a visual way, share/seek rides
* Share your fuel costs with others
* Easily transfer money to the ride-giver (micropayment)
* Join communities of interest
* Rate other users and make new friends
* Arrange one-time trips
* Do your part on helping the city traffic!
* Help save the environment!
* And do all that via a mobile interface
As the community grows it will be able to arrange one-time trips with ease, with people who you may not know yet, but who are well evaluated by the community. Using your mobile device you can do it "on the go"!
