My idea is a network storage device for the residence and small business. This device will include a backup service that automatically keeps the content on the device in sync with a remote backup facility.
Various subscription models will be available to the customers. These models will include the amount of space available on the device, available space on the remote storage and how many versions of a file is available.
Current files and access to versions will be available remotely for access for the customer and available through a web based system. Perhaps allow the file to be opened edit and saved back to the remote server automatically. (Like the way sharepoint works)
The device will be marketed to the consumer residential "small business" market. The unit would be plug and play leaving all configuration in a "wizard" format. Making all set up done in 5 minutes from opening the box.
