Basecamp (http://basecamphq.com) is a fairly powerful project management tool, and seems to fill a fairly large need in the business community, as it has plenty of subscribers. That same need for a powerful yet easy to use collaboration and management tool exists in the legal community, but Basecamp is less than ideal due to the peculiarities of the way lawyers work.

Lawyers deal with cases as primary organizational units. They often need to timeline a series of events, and to create outlines of issues and ideas. A collaboration and management tool designed specifically to address these unique aspects of an attorney's workflow, while also offering more traditional task and document management tools, could easily become the de facto standard for lawyers needing to work together. It might also be used by small firms that didn't wish to maintain their own IT infrastructure as a way to manage all of their cases in one central, fairly simple manner.
