Someone’s got to look out for our number one search engine. So today we thought we’d buy them lunch. And what else would any other fun loving Internet company want? Pizza of course.

How much pizza? Why enough for everyone. We were going to send a ‘googol’ of pizzas but we thought that might be a bit much.

After nine days of lightning fast planning and execution, we formed a crack team to deliver the pizza, designed a killer video, and worked out the logistics of how to send a lot’o pepperoni straight into the Googleplex.

Why Google?

Think way back to 1999 (earlier for some of you early adopters) and imagine what it was like before you could ‘Google’ anything. How did we ever find anything on the web? The first time I used Google I felt like I was getting lucky!

Look at what else they have done:

AdWords, Google Toolbar, Google Desktop Search, Google Zeitgeist, Google News, Google Maps, Google Earth, Google Video, Google Analytics, Google Trends

The thing I like most about Google is just how Larry and Sergey roll. These guys walk to their own beat and don’t follow the path most traveled. Whether it’s raising capital, going public on NASDAQ, or dealing with Wall Street analysts, they broke just about every conventional startup rule in the book. And we love them for it.

For these reasons and others, we wanted to show our respect by inducting Google into our NVA Hall of Fame.
