Summary : I have devised a marketing plan, which will enable an aeroplane company to finance the research and development of the next generation of supersonic aeroplane. I would propose the aeroplane company would enable customers to make a down payment of 33% of the total cost of the said commercial supersonic flight (33% of £3000 which is £1000). I would enable customers to make a down payment in two ways, at holiday & tour operators, and most importantly in an extension the their web site, via a secure on-line transaction system. At a conservative estimate if the aeroplane company involved could persuade 1 in 10,000 of the world population to make a down payment, you would generate in excess of one billion dollars in finance for the research and development of the next generation of supersonic aeroplane, and $3 Billion in overall sales. I believe that figure could and should be bettered. A very similar marketing scheme is working at the moment, and has raised in excess of $1 billion for the company involved research and development needs, which I can prove if needs be. In my marketing scheme I have outline an on-line survey that would enable the customer to have an input into the design of the next generation of commercial supersonic aeroplane. I would include it in the aeroplane company concerned web site, so when customers make a down payment, they will then have the ability to go on and fill out the on-line commercial flight survey, which will make them feel they have contributed to the design of the next generation of commercial supersonic aeroplane, which they have. The designers of the aeroplane company concerned will find the information invaluable.

Advantages :

1. The marketing scheme will raise a substantial amount (over $1 billion) for the financing of the research and development of the next generation of commercial supersonic aeroplane, and the aeroplane company concerned competitors will not have that benefit, as the marketing scheme will be patented.
2. Will use the power of the Internet in the marketing of the next generation of commercial supersonic Flight.
3. Customers will be able to make down payment on-line.
4. The on-line survey will make customers feel they have a real input into the design of the next generation of commercial supersonic aeroplane.
