Cambrian House

Mistakes will be made. But if a person is essentially right, the mistakes he or she makes are not as serious in the long run as the mistakes management will make if it undertakes to tell those in authority exactly how they must do their jobs.
William McKnight, 3M

Cambrian House is built on a crowdsourced foundation

Launched in 2006, Cambrian House began as a crowdsourcing community to discover new businesses and technology ideas. We attracted 50,000+ members and more than 7000 ideas from the crowd.

To power our own open innovation, we developed Chaordix – the technology to harness a crowd for breakthrough ideas. Today our technology and experience are available to help others successfully adopt crowdsourcing.

Our community – grew up and moved out

Our vision for our community was to help members get the funding to make their strongest ideas into businesses. In May 2008, we struck a deal to transition our members to VenCorps - a new, invite-only community that combines crowdsourcing software ideas with access to venture capital from Spencer Trask.

Cambrian House has selectively invested in and champions the strongest crowdsourced technology ventures from our community.
